John is the President of T&G Builders and developed the core values of Integrity, Empathy, and Love. He has been with T&G since 2013 and purchased the company in 2023. John has held several positions in the construction industry, and loves to continuously expand his knowledge on the science of building. Developing solutions to complex situations is what excites him the most about his profession. He is a retired Army Ranger with multiple combat deployments, father of 3 amazing children, and an active advocate for the wellbeing of our nation’s wounded Veterans . In his spare time, John trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with his family, volunteers with various charities, and loves spending time outdoors.

Gary co-founded T&G Builders with Ted Doukas in 1991 and purchased Ted’s share of the business in 2005 to become the sole owner. Although Gary is retired, his original core values of honesty, integrity, quality and customer service are maintained in all facets of T&G Builders and they have been the driving force of the strong growth the company has experienced. Gary has been happily married to his lovely wife Maureen since 1972. Gary spends as much of his free time as he can with his 4 grandchildren who live nearby. He also enjoys fishing, golf, beach time on Assateague Island, and traveling.

Ron is the Sales Manager of T&G and is truly a local who has lived on the other side of the bay from Ocean City since he was 5 years old in 1972. A few of his hobbies include softball, boogie boarding, golf, and attending his daughters’ travel ball games. He is a father of two incredible daughters and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Carl Vinson. Working in this field has always appealed to him, as every job is different and you can learn something new every day. With several decades of continuous dedication to T&G since March of 1999, he has obtained his Maryland Real Estate License, Maryland Home Improvement Salesman License, and New Home Sales Professional Representative Certification.

Alek joined T&G in 2025 as a Project Manager, bringing a diverse background that blends technical expertise with hands-on craftsmanship. He began his career with three years of electrical experience in Las Vegas before spending five years building custom homes in the Coastal Delaware area. As a proud legacy carpenter—following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who specialized in stairs, railings, and fine trim work—Alek continues that tradition of skill and attention to detail. Outside of work, he pursues his passions for furniture making, surfing, jiu-jitsu, and Muay Thai kickboxing.

Bubba joined T&G in 2021 as a Project Manager, bringing decades of hands-on construction experience and leadership. His career began at just 13 years old cleaning jobsites, followed by working in a lumber yard at 15 and moving into framing at 17, where he eventually owned and operated his own framing company. He later expanded his impact in the nonprofit sector, serving as a supervisor with Habitat for Humanity. Outside of work, Bubba enjoys saltwater fishing and holds both a private pilot’s license and a 50-ton Master Captain’s credential, highlighting his passion for adventure on both land and sea.

A lifelong Marylander, Hoffy brings a strong background in business, community leadership, and client service to T&G Builders. Born and raised in Annapolis, he earned his degree in Business Management from the University of South Florida, where he was also a member of the men’s lacrosse team.

After building a successful career in banking and lending—where he managed and grew a branch office—Hoffy transitioned into real estate and construction sales, combining his financial expertise with his passion for helping families create the homes of their dreams.

Since relocating to Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 2016, Hoffy has become deeply rooted in the community. He resides in Ocean Pines with his three daughters and their dog, Bronson, and serves as the Head Coach of the Stephen Decatur High School boys’ lacrosse team. Known for his energy, professionalism, and dedication, Hoffy is committed to guiding clients through every step of the new home and renovation process.

With his Maryland real estate license and his role at T&G Builders, Hoffy looks forward to building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional results for homeowners across coastal Delmarva.

With over 30 years of experience in the Telecom and Building industries, John Mendoza is a seasoned Production Manager who expertly blends knowledge with leadership. He is dedicated to overseeing daily operations, focusing on strategic planning and operational efficiency while upholding the highest standards of quality in construction and production.

John’s commitment to implementing top-notch protocols ensures safety and compliance across all projects, making him a key player in transforming client visions into lasting memories. His results-driven mindset reflects his passion for excellence and teamwork.

Outside of work, you can often find John enjoying the tranquility of the open water on his boat, where he finds peace and rejuvenation.

Pauline joined the T&G Builders team in 2023 as our dedicated Bookkeeper. With a sharp eye for detail, she keeps payments and credits perfectly in balance—making sure every penny finds its proper place. Clients can rest easy knowing Pauline keeps the numbers straight, all while embodying T&G’s core values of Integrity, Empathy, and Love.

After spending 30 years as an Office Manager in Northern Virginia, Pauline happily “retired” to the beach, where she now resides with her husband, Dave, their youngest daughter, and their beloved dogs. Meanwhile, her older children are off pursuing their careers back in Northern Virginia.

In her free time, Pauline enjoys volunteering on several local committees and cherishes every moment she can spend at the beach, embracing the sun and surf whenever possible.
