T&G Builders Spotlight on Small Business: How to Support 3 Coastal Highway Restaurants

help T&G Builders support these three coastal highway restaurants

Learn how you can support these three Coastal Highway restaurants!

Due to the spread of COVID-19, many restaurants have had to close or reduce their staff. Many of these restaurants are small businesses that rely on the support of their local community to stay open and profitable. At T&G Builders, our team has spent time at several local businesses that we want to support during this time. These places have held our company meetings, client dinners, birthday parties, and meals with our families. To help support these local restaurants each week, we will use this space to highlight a few of our favorite businesses and how you can do your part to support them. Read on for three restaurants on the classic Coastal Highway of the Eastern Shore that can benefit from your business today.

One Coastal Restaurant and Farm

One Coastal is a family-run restaurant that uses local ingredients, supports local farmers, and offers their guests excellent service. The restaurant is located on Coastal Highway in Fenwick, DE, and was typically open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 9 pm. As a response to the restaurant restrictions during the COVID-19 crisis, One Coastal is arranging orders and pickup through their Facebook page

Currently, you can message them directly with your order and pick up day, either Friday or Saturday. They get back to you with your total and pickup time. Once you arrive at One Coastal, you receive your food via contactless pickup, and you can pay via PayPal or Venmo. This Friday, they are offering select delivery to locations in the 19975 and 19930 area codes. The menu and the pickup dates change every week, so make sure to check their page to stay up-to-date! You can also support One Coastal by purchasing gift cards on their website.

The Crab Bag

The Crab Bag, located at 130th St. and Coastal Highway, is Ocean City’s finest Eastern Shore style seafood house specializing in preparing and serving the best blue crabs available.

The restaurant is offering carryout services seven days a week from 11 am to 9 pm. You can view their carryout menu here, and call in your order at 410-250-3337. You can sign up for more information through their website, or you can stay up-to-date by checking their Facebook page. The Crab Bag also ships crabs out nationwide, so if you have a family member that misses the food of the Eastern Shore, you can send them a surprise this spring!

Buxy’s Salty Dog Saloon

Buxy’s Salty Dog Saloon is a local favorite, owned by Douglas A. “Buxy” Buxbaum since 1999 at the location of the original Salty Dog at 28th St. and Coastal Highway. A native of Johnstown, PA, Buxy has curated a Western PA/ Pittsburgh theme for the Salty Dog saloon and its menu

Buxy’s remains open for beer, wine, and food carryout. They are closed Monday and Tuesday but are open Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 am to 5 pm and on Friday and Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm. You can place an order at 410-289-0973 and visit their Facebook page for regular updates.
